The importance of environmental impact

For a painter or decorator, the first sign of a good job is good preparation. Quality preparation requires quality products and it’s no secret that plastic protection films are known as the best protection method.

“There was never an option to create anything other than a recyclable product” says Packexe CEO Andrew Orchard, “looking at the bigger picture is part of our brand and that means looking at our products full life.”

Wanting to go one step further than a fully recyclable range of films, Andrew went on to create Packexe Fleece. Fleece is designed for impact protection and can be used on most surfaces. Its specially designed low tack adhesive allows the film to stay in position with the added ability to be lifted, repositioned and even stored away for use on a different job. Use the film up to ten times and simply recycle after use.

As well as recyclable protection films, Packexe recycle 78% of their waste on average a year. LED lights have been installed throughout the Packexe building along with 72 kW of solar panels. But the fight for a greener future isn’t over as Andrew says a water harvesting system is next on the list.

We can all do a little more to improve the state and future of our planet, choosing a recyclable protection product is a small change that goes a long way.
